About the Project

NuBee is a purpose-driven fundraising platform dedicated to supporting female nurses and nursing students through accessible and transparent donations. The platform connects compassionate donors with verified fundraising campaigns, enabling them to contribute directly toward educational expenses and career development. By creating a secure and community-focused environment, NuBee empowers women to pursue their nursing education while encouraging meaningful social impact through trusted financial support.

Challenges

Many aspiring female nurses face financial barriers that prevent them from completing their education and achieving their professional goals. Existing fundraising platforms often lack a dedicated focus on healthcare education, making it difficult for donors to discover verified campaigns and contribute with confidence. The challenge was to design a trustworthy platform that simplifies donations, promotes transparency, and strengthens the connection between donors and future healthcare professionals.

Problems

Traditional fundraising platforms often provide limited visibility into campaign authenticity, donation progress, and fund utilization, reducing donor confidence and engagement. Campaign creation and donation workflows were not intuitive, making it difficult for both beneficiaries and supporters to navigate the platform efficiently. These usability gaps created unnecessary friction and limited the overall impact of fundraising efforts.

Our Approach

We began with user research, stakeholder interviews, and journey mapping to understand the needs of both donors and nursing students throughout the fundraising process. Based on these insights, we designed a transparent and user-friendly platform featuring verified campaigns, simplified donation flows, real-time fundraising progress, and clear campaign storytelling. A clean visual interface, accessible navigation, and trust-focused design elements were introduced to create a meaningful experience that encourages community participation while helping female nurses achieve their educational aspirations.
